Our Story
Shay and Michi are a dynamic musical duo, known for their diverse sound and spiritually-driven lyrics. With their powerful vocals, soulful melodies, and talented band members, they create music that resonates with their community and generation.
1974 - Michi was born in South Korea. She was adopted at around the age of 2 years old. Her adoptive father was SSGT James Doyle Lesley of the US Air Force. His wife, Yoko, and he adopted Michi when she was 2. Mr. Lesley died tragically in a boating accident when Michi was 4 and she, along with her brother, was sent to live in the States with her grandmother. Not long after she was here they learned that she could sing. She began singing professionally at 6 years old and has been singing since. Shay joined his first gospel singing group when he was 14 and it was when he and Michi first started singing together.
